Wallet Hub named North Port as the second best metro area in Florida to work for small business. North Port was recognized as a Playful City USA for the seventh consecutive year in 2014 by KaBoom!
Because of its unique, natural environment and its city leadership that pro-actively protects and preserves its tree canopies, bike and hike trails, fowl and fauna, waterways, etc., North Port is becoming known as an alternative tourist destination. The American Lung Association recognized North Port-Sarasota as one of the 15 cleanest cities in the United States in 2014.
